Stunned Translation ("we," "us," "our") is the data controller for the personal data collected through stunnedtranslation.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you request an instant price, submit an enquiry, or place an order, we collect: your name, email address, phone number (where you provide one), and postal address (where a service requires physical delivery). We also collect the details of the order or enquiry itself — the service, language pair, volume and options you select.

When you browse the site, and only after you consent, we collect analytics data through Google Analytics 4 (see "Analytics" below and our Cookie Policy).

Why we collect it

• To calculate and provide an instant price.
• To process and fulfil an order you place.
• To respond to an enquiry you send us.
• To deliver a certified translation by post, where you choose that option.
• To meet our own accounting and legal obligations.
• With your consent, to understand how visitors use the site (Google Analytics 4).

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (processing your order), your consent (analytics), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating this site securely.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. GA4 does not load, and no analytics cookie is set, until you actively consent through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for full detail.

How we transmit orders and enquiries

Because this site does not run its own order-processing server, orders and enquiries are prepared as a structured, human-readable message and sent to us as an email that you send from your own email application, addressed to support@stunnedtranslation.com. Your data travels through your own email provider to reach us, the same as sending us any other email.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with: the translator or interpreter assigned to your order, bound by the confidentiality terms in our Terms of Service; a postal or courier provider, where you choose physical delivery; and Google, as our analytics processor, only after consent. We do not share your data with any other third party.

International transfers

Google Analytics 4 may process data outside the European Economic Area. Google's standard contractual clauses and its own data-processing terms govern that transfer. If you decline analytics consent, this does not apply to you.

How long we keep it

We keep order and enquiry data for as long as needed to deliver the service, respond to any query about it, and meet our accounting and legal retention obligations under Spanish law (generally up to six years for accounting records). Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics 4's default retention settings, and only for visitors who have consented.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Spain's LOPDGDD, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email support@stunnedtranslation.com. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD, www.aepd.es).

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy as the site or our processes change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
